Not really the same, Li Wei was more like a spoiled brat arrogance, who thinks he is the centre of the world and everyone weaker than War God is beneath him, while Candace is more of a I only respect the strongest if you are not stronger than me, you dont deserve my respect kind of arrogance, which is ironic since he wasnt favoured within the Paulinsa family and had to work hard to get where he is, yet he looked down on those that was in the same situation as he was before

One is silver-spooned arrogance the other is work-hard arrogance

Even though it's ultimately due to his arrogance of wanting to prove he's the strongest, I'm glad to see that Candice still showed the dignity of wanting to best Lou Feng fairly and without the use of dirty tricks or the handicap of LF unfairly losing his arm.

Even if technically there would still be a handicap due to Candace's body physics still being able to adjust for weight/balance/momentum with his left arm. So, he really should've lopped off his own arm too 😋

Pfft studio taking artistic licence, Candace used one of his friends to provoke Luo Feng in previous episodes yet this turn around making him honorable...
In the novel he didnt stop when Luo Feng lost his arm he made a bet of 10 billion dollars and both were screaming to each other who would get that 10 billion and as both rushed at each other in a final strikeLuo Feng lopped his head off, which was most satisfying If the donghua followed the novel He still tried to strike at Luo Feng underhandedly during the Australian Life and Death Arc

IKR, I have to admit I'm liking this dude more and more LOL. I'd love to see him come into his own as a less easily categorized character, or even give us a big surprise. The fact that he refused to be subjugated entirely by 'auntie's' orders, then threw the win and gave LF a fair shot sorta gives me hope. I'm not expecting much in this way though lol.

So far this manwha is on point af from 1st episode till now and hopefully until it finishes. For me slightly a little better than Soul Land with the combat scenes but that's picking back up and a whole nother topic. This just blows my expectations away, it's good to go in blind sometimes pre-knowledge often spoils things as it causes you to generate and expectation level.

Based on this episode Candice just seems a bit arrogant and not like a bad dude. He hasn't even said or done anything that would make the viewer hate him really. Probably tired of his aunt's/uncle's bullshit and fed up with being used in the game between Luo Feng and them :d

I have seen twice now studio is forgetting only spirit masters can control objects.Earlier Candice was flying using a shield and in this episode he picked up his sword like spirit masters but he is not a spirit master.

Candice is more calm and level headed! He doesn't let the games his aunt and girlfriend Jane play around him affect his judgement! He will make an excellent heir if he survives to the end. They call him weak for not relying on his family but he has shown how strong he is. Luo Feng is a beast though, even from the start he just wanted to get stronger and seek bigger and greater dangers that test the limits of his capability. You can see this in how he wants to train and graduate from the elite academy before 5 years yet even the best students don't want to graduate before 5 years. He knows to get better you actually have to face the monsters in their own battle field not some simulated environment. That is why in terms of thinking he is way ahead of everyone in the academy and in future none of them will catch up not just because he is gifted but he is constantly in situations that push his gifts to continuously evolve.
